Camp Winnarainbow

Many of you know I work every year at this amazing camp for children co
directed by Wavy Gravy and his wife Jahanara Romney called Camp
Winnarainbow. This year was no exception. We have rescheduled our
annual foray into circus cazyness with 150+ kids this year so as to be
more readily accessible. 6 weeks in the mountains of Mendocino County
exploring circus and performing arts with kids from all walks of life is
an wonderfully amazing adventure. One that has brought new experiences,
joys, and ideas to life for my myself, my wife, and my kids. However it
is a noticeable chunk of time to be absent.

We have split up and stripped down this six weeks into two two week runs
at the beginning and end of the summer. So instead of being
incommunicado we will only be out of touch temporarily.

If you are not familiar with Camp
Winnarainbow. Please check out there web site at www.campwinnarainbow.org.
Also please have a look at the scholarship fund since the population is
about 40% scholarship the "Joy and Grace scholarship fund" can always
use a few more dollars. (this is where the MCM.net donations go when a
      subscriber chooses Camp
      Winnarainbow as their organization.

      Have Fun!!!

Home Schooling project.

In my search for a new program for subscribers to my internet
      service I came across Thingamablog.
      and was very impressed.

I decided to utilize this program for a home school project for the
kids. They have been super receptive to the idea, and it has spawned
some interesting conversations and learning opportunities. I had a great
discussion on networking and client/server relationship. Somewhat deep
stuff for a nine year old but we had fun drawing and looking at a
diagram of the Internet We visualized (very simply) how an email might
travel. we also traced the routes one would take to publish and then
view a web log posted with Thingamablog.

Here are the links to Dylan
      and Simone's
Blogs. They are having a good time playing with these.
